From Elsewhere:
Abuelita’s Good Friday Shrimp Soup, from Wicked Tasty Harvest. I figured since this formerly-kosher girl will never give you a shrimp recipe, I could at least point you to an interesting one from a food writer friend.
Carrot & Red Lentil Soup with Indian Spices, from A Mingling of Tastes. This one sent me straight into the kitchen, to see if I have everything I need to get cooking. I didn’t, but I will this weekend. Oh, yes I will.
Celery Root and Apple Soup, from Umami Girl. With a bonus recipe for Gingered Carrot Soup!
Coconut Chickpea Soup with Lemongrass, from One Hungry Mama. It’s just gorgeous, and ready in only 35 minutes.
Curried Red Lentil, Chickpea, and Red Kale Soup, from Food Blogga. Love that this calls for red kale. And even the garnishes are interesting.
French Onion Soup, from Martha and Me. One of my all-time favorite soups.
Green Tea Soba Noodle Soup, from Five Second Rule. With tilapia, portobellos, and sriracha—that’s one intriguing combination.
Italian Rosemary Tomato Bean Soup, from the Frugal Kiwi. Just five ingredients, all from the pantry!
Last-Swim-at-Walden Transcendental Sweet Potato Soup from Roz Cummins. That name’s explained in a beautiful personal essay—do read it.
Lentil Soup, from Lettuce Eat Kale. You can’t go wrong with a big ol’ bowl of lentil soup.
Loaded Baked Potato Soup, from Foodie with Family. I’m pretty sure you won’t need to eat for several days after this one. Seriously hearty.
Ribollita, from The Kitchn. As long as you’ve got leftover bread, canned tomatoes, and pretty much any vegetable, you’re golden.
Roasted Squash and Pear Soup from Christie’s Corner. How amazing does that sound? I’d like some right now, please.
Yukon Green Chili Soup, from Cook…Eat…Savor. I’ll bet you’ve got nearly all the ingredients for this one in your kitchen right now.

And if all this isn’t enough for you, Susan Rubin, founder of Better School Food, is running an entire month of soup recipes. 30 soups in 30 days, not bad.
