I live in Philly (as of 8 months ago), but I've never seen such things. Where can I buy them locally?

Larval Doctor (great name, btw!), we got them at the supermarket. A Shop-Rite in south Jersey. I think they're all over, but hurry cuz they won't be available for much longer!

First off….they sound delicious!! I am sure I could become a "Krakhead" myself. But the best part was watching Harry slowly savor the candy bar. He is so much like his cousin – with the thumbs up bc you can't stop eating down to the jumping for joy at the yumminess. Made me smile 🙂

Guys… don't want to blow your minds any further, but I saw Butter Krak in the Clifton, NJ Target a few weeks ago. Just across the highway from Rutt's Hut!

That *is* mind-blowing, Casey! We'll be right there.

Good lord, Debbie. Now I've just gone and ordered some. Just so you know…the boxes are HALF-OFF now! Order in bulk and freeze…

I just bought a box of butter Krak eggs as I do every year. They used to be wonderful but for the last 2 years, not so much. The chocolate is white and the center is all dried up. I suspect they are last years eggs.

So w here do I get fresh ones?

Harry is adorable! Yes,I’m a krakhead, too & now that we live in CA they were only a fond memory- until this year! Boscov’s sells them online & boy did I take advantage of their free shipping. They actually arrived in good shape & we’re rationing them. There was recently an article in the Inky about Zitners & the new owner- it’s worth a read. Thanks for sharing the awesome video- it made my day!

When we moved to Virginia from Tennessee via South Dakota 6 years ago, I was totally unaware of the Butter Krak phenom. Then, 3 years ago, I stopped at our local Wawa convenient store and there was a box by the register. The man in from of me went bonkers and bought half the box. So I bought one and gave it a try. 🙁 I, too, am now a Krakhead. Mine are hidden in a Martin’s grocery bag in the back of the veggie drawer of my refrigerator, where my husband is unlikely to find them. My name is Karen..and I am an addict.

Believe it or not, they are even better (and last slightly longer) frozen! I (carefully) slice them into 4-5 slices and just enjoy as each melts on my tongue. In my area, Bucks-Montgomery border, they are available in Wa-Wa and CVS. Wal-mart has boxes of 8 (currently half price and hidden under all the left-over peanut butter ones at the Warminster Wal-Mart) but they are smaller than the individually wrapped ones. Still just as tasty. I found these in the 70s at a local pharmacy and have been sold ever since.
