My Writing Life

My Writing Life

We interrupt this food blog for a tiny bit of narcissism…

You know an awful lot about me at this point: My life as a fat chick. My career trajectory. My inability to decorate baked goods in anything less than an embarrassing fashion. It’s possible you’re a little sick of me.

If you are, I apologize for this next sentence. But if you think there might be a little bit more you’d like to know, here’s a new addition to the Official Debbie Literature: an interview with me about my life as a writer, by Sarah Caron of Sarah’s Cucina Bella, for She Knows. True story: I did not set out to write a cookbook for new parents. To find out what I did intend, I’m afraid you’ll just have to click through.

And as long as we’re playing All About Me, Babble just posted an excerpt from the chapter on galactagogues, foods that increase your supply of breast milk. If you ever wondered about my boobs (come on, you know you did), you’ll find out everything you ever wanted to know right there.

Thank you for your forbearance. Turns out publishing a book requires a ridiculous amount of blowing one’s own horn.
