Well hello, gorgeous! If you've got kids, I probably don't have to explain what "Parents Need to Eat Too" means. But I will anyway: I make food for grownups that also pleases even the earliest eaters (as in my cookbook, all the recipes here end with instructions for using what you've cooked as baby food). And that kid holding the artichoke up there is so stubborn I like to call him "non-nivorous," so you'll find plenty of picky-eater posts. (Even he is powerless in the face of The Best Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies in the Entire World.) Poke around a bit, and if you like what you see maybe you'll subscribe to my newsletter or RSS feed. Or "like" me on Facebook. Or follow me on Twitter. So many options! Thanks for visiting. Did I mention how nice you look today?

I’m embarrassed that I’ve waited until now to post about this… For a fundraiser auction, I’ve donated what might be my most precious commodity: My time. From now until tomorrow night (May 23) at Bidding for Good, you can bid on a customized, personalized, in-home cooking class with me. (They’ve called me a chef, which ...Keep Reading

I’m getting back into teaching. It’s been a while year since I last offered Parents Need to Eat Too, the class. Heck, my cookbook hadn’t even come out yet! This time around, I’m taking a slightly different approach: Rather than teaching a handful of women who don’t know each other in my own kitchen or ...Keep Reading

My friends, I owe you a recipe. Heck, I owe you several dozen recipes by now, and I apologize. The logjam is insane: Zucchini Potato Fritters, Slow Cooker Chicken with Fennel & Lemon, Homemade Cheez-Its, Triple Chocolate Zucchini Muffins… I was about to start making excuses, but: No. You deserve a recipe, and I shall ...Keep Reading

Two weeks from today, Parents Need to Eat Too (finally) goes on sale. To celebrate, my publisher, HarperCollins, teamed up with one of my favorite appliance companies (yes, I have favorite appliance companies), KitchenAid, to sponsor a good old-fashioned blog tour. That’s right: Instead of shlepping from town to town, making personal appearances in front of ...Keep Reading
