You may think today is April 3. OK, it is. But it’s also Whole Grain Sampling Day, a celebration organized by the Whole Grains Council. And you may have noticed, I’m a fan—I almost never miss a chance to swap in whole wheat flour, and this blog’s got recipes using cornmeal, wheatberries, oats, freekeh, brown rice, farro… Heck, I’ve got a whole category devoted to whole grains.
So when the good folks at the Council asked if I’d like to help them spread the word about whole grains’ nutrient-dense deliciousness, I didn’t hesitate. I agreed to host a giveaway of the incredible assortment you see above.
And then I forgot to write a recipe post.
Whole grains are such a regular part of my everyday life, it never occurred to me to record all the wonderful grain-based things I’ve cooked over the last few weeks. Now here we are, on the official day, and I’ve got nuthin.
