Recently I invited you all to vote on which recipe I’d play with for the next edition of Sugar High Fridays, on December 10. The theme requires using one or more of the following spices: allspice, nutmeg, and cardamom. Well, the polls officially closed yesterday, and thank heavens there will be no pesky claims of voter fraud or polling-place irregularities. Nobody could possibly argue with these results: 87.5% voted for the Pumpkin Bread Pudding! I’m quite pleased–if I was leaning towards any of the four choices, it was this one, but I still plan to try each of the other three at some point. Especially those Hermit Bars…I can taste their chewy, dark, raisiny goodness already.
The bread pudding recipe calls for challah, so I asked my mom for her recipe and if I have time between now and Friday, I’ll really start from scratch with this one.
Thanks for voting, everyone–I’ve never made bread pudding before, so this should be a lot of fun. Be sure to tune in on Friday for the real results!
