Housekeeping

Hello friends. Two things to share with you today:

  1. If you’ve ever clicked on that nice orange button on the top right over there, the one that should open a page where you can subscribe easily to Words to Eat By, you may have noticed that, um, it didn’t work. Well, it does now. Subscribe away.
  2. (This bit’s really exciting, I must say) There’s a new blogger in town! In our household, anyway. No, not Harry; all in good time. Stephen, my shockingly smart documentary producer/sound editor husband, has finally realized that his tremendous enthusiasm for all things film and music is worth sharing with the world. Seriously, watching a movie with him is endlessly educational, and I mean that in a good way. I’ve been trying to convince him to write it all down for years. In his first three posts, he touches on bizarro sound effect changes in Jaws, an unexpected body double in The Wizard of Oz, and Eddie Murphy’s real influence for his Michael Jackson impersonation. The Eddie/MJ video alone is worth the price of admission. Check it out here: Peel Slowly. Tell him Debbie sent you.
