My friends, I owe you a recipe. Heck, I owe you several dozen recipes by now, and I apologize. The logjam is insane: Zucchini Potato Fritters, Slow Cooker Chicken with Fennel & Lemon, Homemade Cheez-Its, Triple Chocolate Zucchini Muffins… I was about to start making excuses, but: No. You deserve a recipe, and I shall give you one forthwith. Promise.
Meanwhile, though, if you’re in Brooklyn or thereabouts and you’re at all confused about starting your baby on solids, I hope you’ll come to my MommyBites event on May 16, at Da Nonna Rosa in Park Slope. It’s called Baby Food 101, and at this baby-friendly luncheon I’ll be talking about, well, all kinds of stuff relating to feeding your baby.
Stuff like:
- Starting solids: How to know when your baby is ready; where to start; what you need; what to feed and what not to feed.
- Cooking once for everyone: How to turn what you’re already cooking for yourself into baby food. Save money by skipping jarred food, and save time by not cooking separately for baby.
- Spending your organics dollars wisely: Which foods you should always buy organic (budget permitting, of course) and which you can skip.
You’ll find full details (and ticket sales) over at MommyBites. Hope to see you there! If you do plan to come, please let me know so I can give you a big ol’ hug.
