Most of the time, breakfast around here is pretty routine: Cheerios + Fiber One for me (it’s fiber-riffic!), Kix for my husband (this, I will never understand), and a giant question mark for Harry. His morning preferences change between bites, it seems—for a while he liked Cheerios, then Rice Krispies, then Snackimals. Now that the weather’s turning colder he’ll occasionally deign to eat instant oatmeal or toast, but it’s basically a crapshoot.
But I’ve discovered an ingenious solution, if I do say so myself: Cookies for breakfast. They’re double-whole-grain, fruity, proteiny, and still so clearly a cookie that the kid can’t say no. Check em out!
