Holiday Goodies Week: Oh Nuts!

Are you enjoying Holiday Goodies Week? I sure am! I feel like Oprah, except without, y’know, 2012 Volkswagen Beetles. This afternoon’s offer is another nutty one, but this time instead of a discount code there’s a giveaway attached. Read on…

Nearly two years ago, Oh Nuts contacted me to see if I’d like to try some of their products. Who doesn’t love bulk nuts, dried fruit, and candy? Plus they’re located right here in Brooklyn; supporting them seemed downright neighborly. I was so excited I had trouble deciding what to sample, so I let them choose for me and felt like I’d won the lottery. Their nuts—remarkably fresh, and in big zipper-lock bags—are among the best I’ve used. I love that the hazelnuts are truly naked. Somehow they manage to clean off every last bit of pesky skin, which ain’t easy. Since that first contact, I’ve used Oh Nuts’ products in recipes like Crunchy Granola Bars, Quinoa Salad with Chickpeas, Walnuts, and Dried Fruit, Low-Fat Pumpkin Bread, and Baked Apple Compote.

I love their stuff, if that’s not obvious, so when I was deciding who to contact for this week’s special offers, Oh Nuts was a no-brainer. And they came through with a terrific promotion, perfect for holiday season:

We’re giving away a $30 gift certificate! You can use it for anything on the site—nuts and dried fruits, of course, but also a rainbow of candy baking supplies, coffee beans, even vegan ice cream. And if you’re a parent or grandparent, the kids’ candy shoppe is not to be missed. Oh, and did I mention that everything is kosher?

Winning is simple: By 10 AM (EST) Monday, November 29, leave a comment below, telling me your favorite item from Oh Nuts’ Hanukkah Gifts or Christmas Gifts sections. I’ll use random.org to select a winner.

Tomorrow for Holiday Goodies Week, I’ve got a sweet discovery for you.

There’s a new product, and a new special offer, every day during Holiday Goodies Week (even on Thanksgiving!). Don’t miss a single one: subscribe to Words to Eat By, either in a reader or your in-box.

Since we usually give my dad-in-law a huge bag of pistachios as his Christmas stocking stuffer, clearly the Pistachio Assortment Gift Box is the perfect solution.
